Facilities

Manchester is home to a range of facilities and resources for the study of and research into Archaeology and Egyptology.

These include:

  • our own well-equipped Archaeology laboratories;
  • a full complement of fieldwork equipment, including equipment for geophysics and 3D capture;
  • a diverse teaching collection with material ranging from the Near Eastern Neolithic pottery to 19th-century British clay pipes;
  • an extensive obsidian reference collection, as well as the extensive collection of the Manchester Museum – which you can explore in more detail by following the link below.

Biomedical, biomolecular, and geological facilities and equipment are available in other Schools and Faculties within The University of Manchester.
